How Roger handles a need it can't confirm

When Roger can't confirm a need that affects safety or access, it tells you to call ahead instead of guessing.

What you see on a place

  • A need Roger could confirm shows on the place, and the place lists where that fact came from.
  • A need it couldn't confirm, such as gluten-free food for celiac or step-free entry, is never shown as met. If the place has a phone number, Roger suggests you call ahead, with a one-tap call button.
  • Other things it couldn't confirm, like whether dogs are welcome or a place works with kids, are never shown as met either. Roger mentions them in its reply.

Why it works this way

A wrong "yes" on step-free entry or an allergy can ruin an afternoon, or worse. A guess that looks like a fact is the one thing Roger tries hardest not to show.

What to do

Always confirm allergies, dietary needs and accessibility directly with the place before you go.
